Plant:

The Bay Cast Operations cover two plants and over 14 acres of property. The buildings cover 250,000 square feet with 65,000 sqaure feet dedicated to pattern storage.

Capacity:

Bay Cast produces castings over 20 feet in length and up to 60,000 pounds. We have equipment in house to process castings of this size including furnaces, cranes, flasks, and cleaning.

Chemical & Physical Testing:

The foundry test facilities include an 11 element spectrograph and a LECO carbon determinator. Destructive testing is performed by certified outside sources.

Layout:

Casting demensions are reviewed on a 14' x 30' keyed layout table assembly.

Machine Shop:

IR 12'x60' Planar Mill with two horizontal heads and one vertical head with 10" spindles.

Niles/Futuremill 12'x30' Planar Mill.

Radial Drill 10' arm with 35' of travel.

G & L Horizontal Boring Mill with a 8" spindle and 8' square rotary table.

G & L Horizontal Boring Mill with a 5" spindle.

King VTL with 72" turning capacity.
